Ace Ankomah Should Give Us A Break!!!
Nana Biakoye
Honestly, it beats my imagination the extent to which people who should be men/women of conscience, have allowed a nonentity like John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor, to purchase their brains.
In the past 8 years, people who should have been the embodiment of all that is right and proper in Ghana, became the embodiment of everything that stunk.
Yes, it is a shame that people who should have known better, behaved as if they had just been dug out of some manhole.
What the heck is Ace Ankomah talking about?
What does Ace Ankomah mean when he says that we can only review Kufuor’s ESB upwards and that it cannot be reviewed downwards? Absolute nonsense!!! Yes, that is nothing but bunkum!!!
The thing continues to remain a recommendation which has not yet been implemented so what the hell does Ace Ankomah mean by saying that we can only review it upwards because any downward review will be varying the conditions to the disadvantage of Kufuor?
As aptly put by Dr. Tony Aidoo, if you have never tasted cheese and it is recommended that you be given cheese, what will be the varying of the agreement to your disadvantage if the decision to give the cheese is revoked?
Or Ace Ankomah is simply telling us that whiles in office, Kufuor lived like an Arabian King and so if we don’t allow him to go home with that outrageous package, we will be varying things to the disadvantage of Kufuor.
By the way, what has Ace Ankomah got to say about the way the recommendation was smuggled to a shady sub-committee of Parliament for approval?
It is ipso facto that Parliament did not approve the recommendations and all parliamentarians from the majority side and minority side, are saying they know nothing about the recommendations.
As for P.C. Appiah Ofori, he is even threatening to go to court if President Mills allows the thing to pass.
Or Ace Ankomah is not interested in whether Parliament approved the recommendations or not?
I guess he is only interested in the comfort of his master Kufuor and does not give a damn if the Bank Of Ghana vault has to be emptied to make his master happy.
For 8 horrible years, people like Ace Ankomah supported almost every wrong move Kufuor made.
Indeed, it is people like Ace Ankomah who supported Kufuor to bastardize every institution in Ghana.
Indeed, it is people like Ace Ankomah who made Kufuor rule as if Ghana belonged to him and the rest of us were his slaves.
Even when the laws of the land were being brazenly abused, people like Ace Ankomah did not only look on, but justified it.
And Ace Ankomah is supposed to be a person who teaches law students.
So what does he teach his students?
Honestly, when I hear people like Ace Ankomah make statements that gives them away as having mortgaged their conscience to the narcotics peddlers party, I thank God for protecting me from such unrighteousness.
What shall it profit Ace Ankomah and co if they gain the whole world and not possess an iota of respect?
John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor has left office as the most disgraceful Leader the nation has ever had and I am surprised that as he sinks deeper into his world of ignominy, people like Ace Ankomah want to follow him into that prideless world.
Of course, some people don’t care too much about reputation once their stomachs and pockets are happy.
As for me Nana Biakoye, there is no way I will sell my reputation and conscience no matter how high the asking price is.
Indeed, just before the elections, some narcotics peddlers approached me to buy my conscience and I told them in the face to f*ck off. Honestly, I almost spat in their ugly faces.
Well, thank God that the narcotics peddlers are no longer in charge of the affairs of state and the loose talk of people like Ace Ankomah will just remain weightless opinions that will never see the light of day.
It is interesting the way Ace Ankomah has turned himself into a one-man army and making all kinds of noises ever since President John Atta Mills started building a Better Ghana.
By the way, where was the voice of Ace Ankomah when the Ghana Bar Association disgracefully and shamelessly, in order to allow Kufuor to continue to abuse due process and rule with NPP’s set of rules, decided that it was no longer going to comment on “political” matters?
Where was Ace Ankomah when Nii Osah Mills was forced out as GBA President, just because he voiced his opinion on how in the process of jailing Tsatsu Tsikata, due process had been abused?
Where was Ace Ankomah when his master Akufo-Addo was summoning people in the name of Kufuor when he should have been summoning them in the name of the state?
Where was Ace Ankomah when in the matter of the quality grain case, the unlettered Kwaku Baako read out the judgment and mentioned who and who will be jailed, even before Justice Afreh ruled on the matter?
Where was Ace Ankomah when Kufuor and Akufo-Addo were packing the Supreme Court just so innocent Tsatsu Tsikata will be jailed?
Where was Ace Ankomah when Akufo-Addo deliberately proffered the wrong charges against the people who beheaded the late Ya-Na Yakubu Andani, so that the case would be thrown out in order for the murderers to walk as free men?
The NDC is in power and so the likes of Ace Ankomah, who are hurting because their narcotics peddlers party has been booted out of power and who think that Ghana belongs to them and their elitist narcotics peddlers party, have found their ugly voices and are disturbing the equilibrium of our eardrums with their cacophonous soundbites.
If Ace Ankomah is hurt that his master Kufuor will not get the monstrous ESB package, he should find better ways of letting out his frustration and stop making a nuisance of himself.
And if Ace Ankomah cannot accept the fact that Professor Atta Mills (he put legal brains into the skull of Ace Ankomah) is the President of the Republic of Ghana, he can go to hell and rot there. Or better still, Ace Ankomah can follow Kufuor to his Nkawie hometown and make him President of that place so that he can have all the cassava, plantain, snails and “ebunu ebunu” soup as part of his ESB.
Change has come to Ghana and Ace Ankomah better accepts it or shut up!!!
