I warn you of dire consequences if you elect President Mills as leader of the NDC in the next election:

Monday, April 11 2011; Arendal, Norway:

It was sheer sycohpancy for the leadership of the NDC and government to pretend all was well in the party.

Masking the differences had all but been counterproductive and what we are seeing now is the result of such pretences.

The battles in the NDC, are a supreme example of dysfunction in the party and a wretched way to run a party in goverment.

And constant attempts to rip to shreds people with alternative views of the direction Mills is leading the country and asking us to shut up are feeble attempts to hide the shortcomings of government.

President John Atta Mills no longer has grassroots support and is certainly unpopular with young voters.

His greatest achievement since taking office as President and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is becoming a more divisive figure in the party and country.

Not only do young voters and first time voters get put off by his bumbling and disapprove of his performance, so do floating voters and at least half of NDC members and sympathizers.

For delegates of the NDC, if you are careless and reckless enough to put up president Mills as leader again, I warn that you will have pain when relief and help depend on how far you want to be a bootlicker.

I warn that you must not expect work if President Mills is PARTY leader and unlikely re-elected as president.

You will be silent – "when the curfew of fear and the gibbet of unemployment make you obedient."

Ghanaians will have poverty – when taxes and funds from our resources are whittled away by a government that is interested in doing little.

I warn you that the country will go through stagnation when talents are untended and wits are wasted in favour of mediocrity.

There will be dire consequences if the (NDC) fields President Mills as its presidential candidate for the 2012 elections.

Former President John Kufour for all his flaws and penchance for frills has a high grade intellect for politics than John Mills. President Mills is startingly inept at politics.

The longer he is president, the clearer it becomes that being a "religious" president doesn't make you a good leader.

Delegates must look beyond the promises of vehicles, more contracts and freebies. These are short term solutions to long term problems. The overall interest of the country and party must stand above such freebies.

And when the time comes to elect party leader, I hope the long term interest of the party will prevail.

May God bless us all.
