Ibrahim Mahama’s Wealth…. More Questions Still Begging For Answers

This is the man, whom until the death of President Mills, was so much indebted to most financial/ banking institutions in Ghana.

One could readily talk of Barclays Bank and the now metamorphosed Universal Merchant Bank (formerly Merchant Bank) as among the numerous Banks who were chasing the President’s brother all over for their monies.

Suddenly after the demise of the late President Mills and the subsequent swearing in of his elder brother and then Vice President-Ibrahim Mahama, the Engineers & Planners CEO has, out of the blues discovered very easy and quick means of making money to pay off all he owed within the shortest time frame without any empirical evidence of how he managed to turn around his debts into wealth.

The sudden turn around, has given credence to the suspicion that, President Mahama after ascending to the seat of presidency is using his influence to avail undesirable opportunities to the brother to enrich himself and by extension enrich the Mahama family.

For me as a Ghanaian with no political colourings, these and many more concerns, raises fundamental questions about how the President’s brother is generating his wealth, and acquiring so many properties in a very short run, all in the name of doing genuine businesses,

I therefore wish to provide an opportunity for the engineer businessman to attempt to provide answers to some of these nagging concerns bothering the minds of Ghanaians.

1. Kindly explain to Ghanaians what the magic wand is that enabled you to suddenly convert your debts into wealth, few months after the death of President Mills and subsequent swearing in of your brother to the Presidency?

2. Do you have any interest in Fortiz Co. Ltd, the new owners of UMB (Formerly Merchant Bank)

3. Is there is any direct connection between your sudden wealth and the Mahama Presidency?

4. It has been alleged that your private jet moves in and out of the country without due regard to the laid down aviation procedures and that some people are suggesting that you carry in it, contraband goods to foreign destinations. What is your view point?

5. As an addendum to the above question, could you explain to Ghanaians the involvement of your jet in the Turkish gold bust saga and what the outcome of investigations is?

6. Can you also tell Ghanaians in the spirit of transparency, your Company’s tax payment status as a legal entity, specifically your tax contributions to the national kitty?
7. Kindly tell Ghanaians in specific terms, the various business establishments you own, both within and outside the country.
8. Could you please confirm or deny your relationship with Naa Ayele alias Ruby Adu-Gyamfi, and does she normally refers to you as Mr. Spider?
9. Without any intent of malice, may I also know whom you refer to as your father amongst Former President J. A. Kufuor and the Asantehene- Otumfour Osei Tutu, and who is your biological father?
These are just but a few of the concerns that some Ghanaians including myself do have about your business activities and sudden wealth.

Let me hasten to add that, this article is not meant to smear your image or hard won reputation but rather an opportunity for you to answer the begging questions lingering the minds of many
