Is Cast, Mills Throws In The Towel.

by JUSTICE SARPONG

"President John Evans Atta Mills has confessed that the current economic conditions in the country is not as smooth as was expected by his government, and called on religious bodies to pray constantly for government to come up with solutions to the problems confronting the nation."

This would have been laughable if it has not eminated from the head of the first gentleman of our country, his Eminent, President Professor Mills, but coming from a man who during the campaign to assume this office castigated the NPP for creating an economic mess, I wonder if President "Adze wo fie eye" has just contracted the NDC disease: LIES. Mills is now telling Ghanaians he was not aware that Ghana has problems. What was he expecting? That we voted for him to come to the castle to eat fish and Kenkey and drink fine wine and then receive funeral delegations?

God or HEAVEN helps those who help themselves and the days of Moses and Joshua, not Pastor Joshua, where manna rained from heaven to feed the multitude is over. There is nothing wrong for the churches, mosques and UNBELIEVERS devoting some time to pray for salvation from God and deliver us from this clueless administration, but MILLS has to come up with Economic policies that is innovative and workable for our present circumstance instead of the stupidity his inexperienced Ministers are taking us through.

NPP administration, though not perfect was able to come up with the NYEP programme that created 108,000 employment for the youth, NHIS, Mass transportation system and other programmes that created a lot of jobs for a lot of people regardless of their Party affiliation and instead of this CLUELESS administration adding more jobs, the NDC Youth groups have resorted to seizing toilets, lorry parks, NHIS offices, cocoa spraying machines, keys to buses that were imported to the country by the NPP administration because after eight BAD months that has seen the economy going to the toilet and their future in doubt, these goons have taken the law into their hands without the grey hairs in NDC bringing the hammer hard on their heads. The sad part is that, its not only the KORBOLOR youth wing of this administration seizing things, after the three stooges at the castle, Anyidoho, Gbelvo-Larter and Victor Smith seized cars from ordinary citizens, Bagbin and Ayariga also created their own Tractor rental companies from Tractors imported by the NPP administration for farmers.

The founder of the NDC, Dr BOOM BOOM. 'O'Level Rawlings is not helping matters either when he agreed with what the NDC factotums and zongo zealots are doing by blaming President Kuffour for creating the so called atmosphere which to him makes it right for his denizens of the street supporters to misbehave. These are the Youth that were smuggling petrol to Togo but when there was no more petrol to smuggle, they brought their primitive behavior to Ashiaman and Chorkor to intimidate law abiding citizens going about their business peacefully to earn a living and put food on the table for their families.

"in order to make life a little more comfortable for them, adding that the way religious bodies prayed for peaceful elections, they should still continue praying for the economic stability of the country."

What the hell does that mean? Now ATTA MILLS is abdicating his responsibilities and and asking the church to resort to 24/7 prayer camp to restore the economic stability of Ghana. Reading President Mills address to the church in Ho, one get the impression that, President Mills is finding this job beyond his scope of competence and crying for divine intervention which is not in the horizon because God would not help somebody who worship from both sides of the mouth. You cannot ask for God blessing in the daytime when you send your BNI operatives at night to Akatsi to seek the help of TROKOSI Priests.

Mills has been a disgrace to the Presidency. His administration is telling Ghanaians they met a broke economy while they are telling the international community that, Ghana's economy is robust trumpeting what has transpired by the past eight years as an economic boom. Let anyone who cares to know read the forms Dr Duffour filed at IMF to seek the one billion loan from this financial institution. In less than a year in office, this President has given up on his own ability to solve our economic problems and embarking on divine intervention to solve our problems. What President Mills is failing to realise is that, we elected a President and not a POPE, if we wanted a man of the cloth to be President, we would have called on Arcbishop Turkson to be President.

I don't know what this President was expecting. Was he expecting the nation coffers to be overflowing with tens of billions in gold bullions? If that was the case, then we would have elected any dog catcher to rule. President Mills confessions at Ho was very pathetic, pitiful and sad, he has given up on his own ability to solve our problems by throwing his hands up in the air with his mouth wide open waiting for manna to fall, what a sad day in Ghana. Whoever is 'propping' this man to hang on to power should give up on him and let him resign peacefully and spend the rest of his life peacefully with NAADU and give way to the Vice-President, the BABY MAKING MACHINE Mahama a go at it, he might be a tad better than this "ECOMDEME" President we have now.
