I'm writing this article to register my grievance about how VODAFONE Ghana has been treating it's customers.
I just want to start off by saying it's about time Ghanaians speak out loud or forever remain silent!...
I have been a customer of the then GT Broadband for over 6yrs everything was fine and (unfortunately) came Vodafone with all the worldly promises to make "every little" thing better..they said they are going to change the face of telecommuication in Ghana and like fools we believed them, same thing like the MTN, It's been a year now and all we (Internet Users) experience is the most slowest Internet connections ever! and landfones going dead for no reason at all!.. and when one encounters any of such problems their toll free numbers "100 for landfone problems" and 101 for Internet problems are so useless because Vodafone has laid off 70% of it's workers so there's basically no one at these telephone directories to pick up the calls and answer any questions...
A couple of weeks ago Vodafone has decided to change it's Internet Machine without Informing It's customers about it..there was a huge problem as none could reach them on the toll free numbers...a visit to their office at Accra-North shows few workers and these are the cashiers! all other office workers were not on the scene except the CASHIERS! .It goes on for 12 days and Finlay I managed to get one of their workers to my house to work help fix the problem...
Since then downloading or uploading a file becomes a problem, anything bigger than 15MB takes not less than 2 hours...The ADSL keeps going off. So I made a report and someone was sent to my house after waiting patiently for a week and he told me to upgrade my account from Residential to Business account that's the only way I'm gonna have a faster Internet service! WHY?? he said everything "scatta scatta for VODAFONE Inside"..damn! I said....well I didn't see the reason for that upgrade and decided to go back to their office since the toll free number is still not reliable...after another week of waiting two guys showed up..my laptop was fine but Internet still slow..they said..Vodafonen has changed all settings for how your Internet works so "please upgrade!..so my question is ..is this the "Massive Change In telecommunication we're promised"??
