Kufuor, Don't Take Asanteman for granted

President John Agyekum Kufour has been taking Asanteman for granted since four years four month in office. His core constituencies that helped him twice to get elected is underdeveloped and he has done nothing to improve the Ashanti region especially Kumasi.

During the NDC Administration, if we compare the development that was made in Greater Accra Region and Brong Ahafo, the Ashanti Region was treated like an outcast for the past twenty years. Yet, still they were able to survive in economic depressions from the NDC Regime. They knew that if the NPP administration comes to office they would help to develop Kumasi, the second largest city in Ghana, for future generations. Although Asanteman show patriotism towards the National Patriotic Party coming to office, all that they have been getting from John Agyekum kufour is empty promise. He thinks his ethnicity of an Ashanti gave him the right to take Ashanteman for granted. He also believe that nepotism is a good way to govern the country. This idea destroyed the ideology of those professionals who have the knowledge and the skills to be effective and efficient and good planning to produce economic tasks to help the country.

As a citizen of capital of the Kwabre east, Mamponteng, the Chief executive Alhaji Kwasi Yeboah, was appointed by the Kufuor administration to his own native town Mamponteng that is the Capital of Kwabre East constituency. He did not manage the district with the HIPC location funds, which many chief executives? were able to use to improve socioeconomics for their constituencies. Alhaji Kwasi Yeboah alone did not use the resources to build a common market for Mamponteng; he misused the funds for that project. The residents were the whistle blowers to inform the President, but John Agyekum Kufuor who have use nepotism affiliations with him from their old neighborhood in Ash ?town Kumasi could not be removed from office.

Alhaji Kwasi Yebaoh now wanted to be the next Chief Executive for Kumasi metropolitan Assembly (KMA) how can such a person even thinks of a higher position when he could not manage his own native town and his constituency as the Chief executive. If president John Agyekum Kufour thinks he can appoint his friends for political positions without qualifications, this is a terrible policy for the economic growth for Ghana. Ghanaians deserve a professional to help build the country for tomorrow. Advise to President Kufuor;

The President should develop a sound economic plan, with clear, and credible ways to get to it, and he must handle the country?s revenue wisely, also hire only the people whom you really need and be sure all of them are professionals.
