on Her Chieftaincy Wrangling
On Sunday, 30 November 2014, at 14:00 hours, some responsible elders of Kumawuman, who are worried about the abuse of power and the obvious illegalities associated with how Asantehene claimed to have resolved the Kumawu Chieftaincy dispute, with the subsequent enthronement of one Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene, issued a press statement.
They have declared to the Ghanaian and the worldwide public through the press that Asantehene has absolutely no traditional and customary right to impose Dr Yaw Sarfo on Kumawuman as her paramount chief.
They questioned the motive of Asantehene rushing to install Kumawuhene but not Essumejahene. Essumejahene being the head of the Left Wing within Asanteman passed almost four years before the demise of Kumawuhene Barima Asumadu Sakyi II. Why has Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II not bothered to ensure Essumeja has an Omanhene before Kumawu?
Asantehene has also no right whatsoever to order the destoolment of certain Kumawu sub-chiefs or kingmakers.
Out of the nine kingmakers of whom four are dead, only two were invited at the swearing-in ceremony of Dr Sarfo as Kumawuhene. Kontrihene, who exercises the Acting role of Kumawuhene in the event of the chief's death, was indisposed at the time and hence not present at the swearing-in ceremony. Akwamuhene was not invited, so also was Akyempemhene. Therefore, his swearing-in is traditionally and customarily illegal apart from the breaches of certain statutes.
At the appropriate time, a Kumawuhene appointed following due process will be announced and shown to the Kumawuman public and the world.
Keep watching for the full details and exact wording of the Press Statement from the various Ghanaian newspapers and websites any moment from Monday, 1 December 2014.
As I write, someone who has been promised a V8 vehicle by Kumawuhemaa, using Kumawuman money, is shamelessly announcing with audacity that those who issued the Press statement did so upon dreaming after they had consumed bags of "gari". What a shame and disgrace to his academic status and that fair skin colour he possesses which should normally, oblige him to tell nothing, but the truth, at all time. Does he support the corruption that took place as is on video tape on YouTube? Is his family descended from the matrilineal line of Barimah Tweneboah Kodua I?
How Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, purportedly, but collusively (with Kumawuhemaa and the Asanteman Council )resolved the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute on 24 February 2014 will in a few weeks from today be published in a foreign newspaper. I have submitted a copy of the video tape as found on YouTube under "Asantehene involves in corruption" and the relevant documents citing the laws breached to the person who will have it published and vigorously pursued to ensure that corruption in this case, doesn't carry the day.
Stay tuned for more info. As I have promised to be of selfless service to Ghana, to the people of Kumawuman especially, and to humanity, so shall I do.
If you will care to read my Open Letter to Police Commander Kofi Boakye, all the laws that Asantehene, Kumawuhemaa, Asanteman Council and Dr Yaw Sarfo have broken are clearly stated.
One of the effective weapons I am wielding to stamp out corruption and abuse of power by Asantehene is to inform certain world leaders, organizations and media houses about his actions once I have the evidence as it is in the case of Kumawu chieftaincy dispute resolution.
I can personally not withstand abuse of power, perpetration of corruption with impunity by our leaders, otherwise elected to play honest and selfless roles to ensure the collective prosperity of their subjects or fellow citizens.
Lest I forget, Kumawuhemaa tried, but failed, to block the Press Conference. She rushed to Kumawu Police station to report that some elders of Kumawu were planning to demonstrate publicly but had not been granted police permit. She never knew that it was a press conference that needed no police permit before it takes place. Her collusive bullying and intimidating tactics will not work once I have resolved to go all the way to ensure JUSTICE which is currently ANATHEMA in Ghana, prevails in this Kumawu chieftaincy case.
God willing, we shall prevail. The battle is long and tortuous but victory for God is in sight for those who trust in Him, believe, and fight for the prevalence of justice and truth.
