The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in a serious confused state. Members of the party are groping for an elusive light; as a result, those who cherish the party a lot these days go to sleep in a state of panic not knowing what negative bombshell might hit the party the next day. Today the NPP has become a laughing stock at the market place as more fires continue to be stoked in the party unabated.
During the so-called 2012 fraudulent Election Petition by the NPP, I spoke plainly after sizing up Philip Addison, the NPP lead lawyer that his arrogant posture in court will not help the case. Addison who thought he had the wind behind his sails arrogantly presented a bogus petition that was aimed at just wasting everybody’s time and gave the new government of President Mahama a marking time for eight horrible months.
Most Ghanaians who watched the proceedings in court or on television finally heaved a sign of good relief when Philip Addison and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the then NPP presidential hopeful were sent parking when they lost the case miserably. In one of the articles I wrote at the time, I stated that Philip Addison is indeed a sore loser. I said that when Philip Addison did not accept the verdict and concluded that it was a sham.
My words against Philip Addison have indeed come home to roost. Unexpectedly, Ghanaians woke up one fine day to go about their political, social, and economic business, when suddenly the peaceful atmosphere became chaotic when Philip Addison emerged from his pile of pink sheets, and told Ghanaians that he was going to contest for the Korle Klottey Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP. Immediately I read the news online, I stated that Philip Addison’s parliamentary campaign will not fly and will end up in smoke.
It is not too difficult to spot political losers if you have a political eye. The rest is now history with the badly beaten ego and pomposity of Philip Addison in the NPP parliamentary primaries by one Nii Noi Nortey. Addison who tried to use all means at-all-cost to get Nii Noi Nortey disqualified but failed miserably could only garner 22 votes, the most disgraceful and pathetic votes by this all-knowing at-all-cost guy.
It is worthy to note that Addison’s beef with Nii Noi Nortey was that he forged his University of Ghana, Legon certificate; therefore, he should be disqualified. It is equally important to note that another aspiring parliamentary candidate, Vicky Bright had to withdraw from the race at the last minute also claiming that the incumbent Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South Constituency, Ahmed Arthur also has his education certificate doctored.
Philip Addison who would not go away in disgrace stated on an FM station in Accra that the very issues that Nana Akufo-Addo petitioned the Supreme Court after the 2012 elections are being practiced in the NPP. Hear Addison, “I was saddened that the very matters we as a party have been complaining about over the years were being practiced avidly”. That was a sore loser’s lamentation!
Talking about forged certificates brings to mind a very colossal one, which I am just giving you a political teaser. The NPP folks claim that they are the most knowledgeable well-educated folks in the country. No one is contesting that. But the NPP folks are equally the supreme masters of forged certificates.
We currently have one big NPP shot, who is a sub-chief and a very close confidant of Nana Akufo-Addo. He roams the airwaves a lot and does not spare a moment in pushing the ruling NDC to the wall. But this sub-chief is not clean at all!
In the NPP circles, it is a known fact that this tainted man is angling himself to become the Attorney General and Minister of Justice in God-forbid Akufo-Addo’s government. But this man is not clean. I have the solid impeccable details about his guy and I will release it months before the next general elections in 2016.
This sub-chief did not do well in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level examination, therefore when he landed in the New York state in the USA, he put his fraudulent tactics into play by using his father’s “A” Level Certificate to enrol in a University in New York. He is now a practicing lawyer in Ghana.
If we are to go by the age he used to enrol at the university in New York, this guy should be over 70 years by now. Yet, this is the fraudulent guy Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has placed so much faith, to the extent that he has pencilled him down as his Attorney General if Ghanaians make the mistake of voting clueless Akufo-Addo to power.
Akufo-Addo does not want to walk or go with clean people with clean hands because he does not understand what equity is all about. Otherwise, he would not surround himself with people with shady characters. We have two losing candidates, Addison and Bright famously accusing their opponents of having acquired shady certificates thus further exposing the ills and evil deeds permeating in the NPP.
There are more revelations to come. The problems within the NPP is not going away any time soon because most of them are the creation of Akufo-Addo who does not listen to anyone apart from his daily praise worshippers.
