Ode To Some Ghanaian Politicians And MPs

Kwesi Atta Sakyi

5th December 2011

Some MPs have gone astray
Some MPs have gone bonkers
They are like expended cigarette stubs in ashtrays
They better bury themselves in Nazi bunkers

Some politicians have overstepped the mark
Some patricians have not earned our respect
We plebians say to them, go to hell
All Ghanaian patriots do yell
We condemn Rwanda-like vituperations
We disown rabble-rousers and unpeaceful altercations
MPs must use parliamentary diction
Or else they are dishonourable honourables

Unguarded hour, unguarded blurt
It hurts! It hurts really really well
Sadistic MPs go to hell
Ill-bred crackpots, everyone can tell
No more jackpots, Ghanaians can confirm
Ghanaians are too smart for warmongers
Ghanaians are peace lovers

All die be die?
No, all die ino be die!
Consider logic, consider ethics
Ghana is larger than us all
Ghana belongs to us all
Equal share, irrespective of birth

Power-drunk MPs, go wash your mouth with soap
Power-drunk dicks, your intoxication
Will launch and lunge you into political crunch
Mad MPs and their bunch
Will lose terribly in 2012 punch-up,
Power-drunk junkies will flunk out, punch drunk
No pounding above your weight
No punching below belt
But sucker punch will straighten them out on a stretcher
Ghanaians are the referee, come 2012,
Agoro ne famu!
