Columnist: Concerned Klottey-Korle Resident
Dear Nii Adjei Tawiah,
I am shaking my head in total disbelief that you would also come out to respond to Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings’ vexations at the discriminatory handling of COVID-19 interventions without doing due diligence first.
A disturbing pattern is beginning to emerge from all the nonsensical response to the MP’s allegations. Yesterday, the Mayor of Accra, Minister for Gender and Social Protection and Information Ministry all dented their image with the infantile lies they churned out in their face-saving responses.
Then, ‘BAM’! You also slide down the same slippery road. Why? Can these irrational responses from you and others be a confirmation of the rumour that the ‘Big Oga’ is very vindictive? So if you’re not seen to be acting (even if nonsensically) to protect his image from the covid-19 intervention fiasco, the consequence could be dire? In that regard, you would rather want to protect your ‘nokofio’. Hmmmm, I weep for Mother Ghana.
Mr. Adjei Tawiah, your response at best can be described as empty and lacking substance. May I ask, what exactly were you responding to? You only managed to slip in a very feeble denial of distributing food to the vulnerable along party lines. How did you arrive at that conclusion? Did you conduct any investigation into the MP’s allegations? Did you reach out to the MP seeking to get to the bottom of the matter? What were your findings? Can you put them out for all of us to see?
Why am I even bothering myself trying to interrogate your methods? I quite sincerely doubt your ability to comprehend coherence.I presume you are just one other hound unleashed from the boss’ kernel to go on a thoughtless offensive.
In your quest to throw dust in the eyes of right thinking Ghanaians you stated in your ill conceived response that the MP approached the Assembly requesting for some funds from the Social Intervention component of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).
Nii Adjei Tawiah, if you were on top of your job, that should have nudged you that something was amiss. However, I am not surprised at all that you exhibited cluelessness. I have come to expect very little in terms of delivery from this Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo-led government that I would have been pleasantly surprised if you had acted decisively to investigate what was wrong with your interventions. If you and the ministry were doing your job well in ensuring the proper implementation of interventions why would the MP need to use her Social Intervention Fund to feed the vulnerable?
Mr. MCE, why are you all jumping about like headless chickens jostling each other in a weak attempt to parry Zanetor’s stinging jab? This reminds me of the late reggae superstar, Joseph Hill’s “One Stone” track. So Zanetor “throws one stone” and it brings about the insecurities in the government?
What a woow!
Sir, kindly ask your boss where at all the so-called solution oriented “men” he and his ilk used to boast about are. You are obviously not one of them, and from the monumental failures of this administration, I doubt if there are any at all.
Like I told the busy-about-nothing Mayor of Accra yesterday, no amount of dust you throw at Dr. Zanetor Rawlings will derail her from providing good leadership to her people. We the residents of Klottey Korle are wide awake, and conscious of the transformational leadership our beloved MP, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings has brought to bear in the Klottey Korle Constituency. We shall continually support her to succeed irrestive of the attempts to tarnish her image.
I rest my case for now.
Thank you.
