Questions Begging Minority Leader For Answers About His Past

A few critical questions are begging for answers from the Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, about his past.
Recent media reports have it that one Lawrence Addae, who was once a student of St Peters Secondary School had allegedly involved himself in a lifestyle of juvenile delinquency to the extent of breaking into his school’s store and stealing some provisions leading to his dismissal from the school.
A letter of dismissal cited by The Catalyst was addressed to one J. K. Addae considered to be the father of the said Lawrence Addae, with P.O. Box 1916 of Kumasi City Council.
The letter was signed by the Assistant Headmaster of St Peters Secondary School at Nkwatia-Kwahu in the Eastern region.
It read: “We regret to inform you that your ward, Addae Lawrence, has been suspended from school from 9th March until further notice. The reasons were as follows: he was involved in breaking into the school store and stealing provisions.
We hope you will impress on him the need for his full co-operation with school authorities.
If he continues to break school rules, he will be expelled.
This is his final warning.”
The said Lawrence Addae is said to have later changed his name to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. And some have
Hon Osei Kyei Mansah has since declined to comment on the reports. Most people spoken to by the paper believe that it is important for him to clear the air on the matter, considering the high office he holds in the country
Some of the questions being raised by members of the general public include:
Is Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu’s father called J. K. Addae?
Did his father work at, or have a post office box number 1916, at Kumasi City Council?
Has Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu ever attended St Peters Secondary School at Nkwatia-Kwahu in the Eastern region?
Was Hon Osei Mensah Bonsu ever called Lawrence Addae?
Was Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu ever suspended from the school for stealing provisions from the school store?
And most importantly, did Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu change his name from Lawrence Addae to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu?
Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, by virtue of his occupying the prestigious position of Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, is the deputy chairman of the Appointments Committee of the august how, who leaves no stone unturned in digging into government appointees pasts at the their vetting.
He thus owes it a responsibility to the Ghanaian public, to come out of his shell and clear this issue once and for all by answering these simple questions.
