RE: Dome/Kwabenya NPP In Crisis

My attention has been drawn to a publication in the 29th May edition of two private news prints; the Daily DISPATCH and the TIDE; purporting to suggest that there is a looming crisis in the Dome/Kwabenya constituency which has the potential to destroy the NPP as a party and eventually make the party suffer defeat in the upcoming general election.

I want to state that not only is the publication deluding, but it is also malicious, fabricated and lacked the factual prudence to support such a thing within the constituency.

Fact is that the NPP in the Dome Kwabenya constituency is not in crisis but has rather become stronger, more focused, united and battle ready to contribute its quota to ensure that the NPP clinches power in the upcoming general elections. The publications which have malicious agenda to soil the otherwise very committed efforts by the current constituency officers and its allied agents, is just the creation of some persons who are not members of the party but are believed be our opponent who are trying very hard, albeit, vainly, to thwart the efforts of the officers in the constituency.

It must be stated clearly that we are making far reaching and significant progress in the strategy that has been adopted for this year’s election and we are convinced that the constituency will hit its targeted mark which is about 90 thousand votes out of the overall 125 thousand registered in the constituency I am by this release assuring every member of the great New Patriotic Party, its sympathizers and all well-meaning residents within the Dome Kwabenya constituency, that the party is calm and indeed calmer than it has ever been, its officers and allied agents are committed and indeed are committed than they have ever been, and above all, the strategies we have adopted for the elections are indeed making significant impact.

I want to finally caution some rented press houses to do a thorough cross checking of their source and the kind of information they put out before going to press. It has to be stated clearly that some of the statistical analysis put out is rather vague and does not support the facts on the ground.

I urge the public to ignore some of these ill-intentioned publications and rather consult the constituency office in Dome for any information.
