RE: Goosie Tanoh will deliver Victory for NDC.

My attention has been drawn to the above-mentioned article in the media which quoted me as endorsing the candidature of Mr Goosie Tanoh.

I Isham Alhassan want to state unequivocally that I have never under any circumstances endorsed the candidature of Mr Goosie Tanoh.

These are the statements I made during our interaction with the said aspirant.

I tried enumerating the circumstances leading to our loss in the 2000 elections and the role Mr Goosie played in that defeat.

I also told the gathering how the NDC has now deepened internal democracy by allowing a sitting president to be contested in an election for the flag bearer of the party.

I also urged Mr Goosie not to repeat the events of 2000 but rather accept the outcome of the impending presidential primaries because the party will need his wealth of experience to capture power.

I call on all well-meaning NDC members to disregard this article and treat it with the contempt it deserves.

I urge all our supporters to be resolute in their choice of our flagbearer.

Power 2020 is non-negotiable and we are not ready to experiment with it.
