I was not the least bit gobsmacked or flabbergasted to learn that the so-called Communications Officer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel “Sammy” Gyamfi, was under investigations by personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) on charges of forging and criminally disseminating documents alleged to have originated from the Akufo-Addo Presidency (See “Presidency Breaks Silence on ‘NDC Boy’ DailyGuideNetWork.com / Ghanaweb.com 2/1/20).
The signs were there right from the beginning that the Chief Wag of the Jerry John Rawlings-fangled National Democratic Congress was a veritable Orwellian agitprop scam-artist. Earlier into his official career as the NDC’s Communications Officer, that was not his initial designation, by the way, Mr. Gyamfi came under heavy criticism for disrespecting members of the top hierarchy of his own party. But make no mistake, Sammy Gyamfi has the full backing of the Mahama Propaganda machine and may very well have had his seditious act of criminality long beforehand scripted for him by the key operatives of the National Democratic Congress.
You see, the Alfred Agbesi Woyome-financed Mahama Propaganda Machine – I bet you really believed the most thoroughgoing corrupt politician alive in Ghana today, when the then Interim President and Candidate John Dramani Mahama told Ghanaian voters, in the runup to the 2016 general election, that he intended to leave absolutely no stone unturned, as the cliché went, to retrieve every pesewa stolen from our National Treasury by the foremost underwriter of the National Democratic Congress.
I left the beginning of the latter sentence hanging somewhere in the middle; but what I really wanted to say was that the Mahama 2020 Presidential Campaign has absolutely no viable legs to stand on, by way of any worthwhile electioneering campaign manifesto, thus their devious and vicious strategy of tactically provoking the Akufo-Addo Presidency into taking stringent but perfectly appropriate measures to safeguard the security of the nation, only to have thievish nation-wreckers like Mr. Gyamfi and equally criminal associates like Messrs. Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, the NDC’s dynastic General-Secretary, and Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the party’s National Chairman, turn round to virulently, albeit falsely, accuse President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of being a tyrant, an autocrat and a dictator.
Such charges are rather inexcusably absurd, in view of the fact that the National Democratic Congress has its origins steeped in the bloody Mafia-style assassination of Ghana’s superior court judges and ordinary defenseless Ghanaian citizens, who were scandalously tagged with bogus corruption charges and summarily executed by firing squad. Sometimes, these defenseless Ghanaian citizens were shot on sight at point-blank range from behind. It does not get more cowardly than this. You see, these dastardly communistic and primitive propaganda tactics will not work in our time, because our vigilant national security personnel have been deeply immersed in exposing such thuggish shenanigans for much longer than any of the key operatives of the National Democratic Congress, including the party’s founding father, Chairman Jerry John Rawlings, have been on the scene.
Fortunately, all attempts by the NDC Boys, for that is what they veritably are emotionally and psychologically, to muddy the waters for the leaders of the New Patriotic Party, or create disaffection for the most progressive and visionary Ghanaian leader, since President Kwame Nkrumah, are clearly not working. Ghanaians have come a long way over a relatively vast span of time to be so easily and readily taken in by a gang of clinically certified kleptocrats who have absolutely nothing good or meaningful for the overwhelming majority of Ghanaian citizens and the electorate, besides voraciously stuffing their wallets and bank accounts with the hardworking and diligent taxpayer’s money.
