There is no doubt that the acrimony between President Mills and Former President Rawlings is giving many lovers of the party sleepless nights and heartaches. Some people have even rush to the hospital to check their blood pressures as the fear of the inevitable looms unless unity returns to the fold of the leadership of the party.
Painfully, while some are working round the clock to iron out the differences between the President and the Former President, others are busily stoking the embers of the fire so the feud will continue to rage because they are making money out of it.
Some journalists are reaping financially from the rift because they are being given money by faceless people within the party to publish lies or throw dirt at some personalities during radio talk-shows. Others are taking money to churn out fake polls and stories against some leaders of the party.
Some leading members of the party are also pocketing monies meant for journalists to write stories to smear others. The desire to grab more cash is keeping the feud in the party raging on like a wild inferno.
True lovers of the NDC must take heart in the fact that in the end, truth always triumphs. They must not be worried by the publications of doomsday journalists, social commentators and politicians who have invaded the NDC like vermin.
The NDC will definitely rise up to the occasion, unite and beat the NPP to it in the 2012 elections. Those within the party working hard for the common good of all must therefore not rest on their oars.
As for the enemies within, they shall be flushed out sooner than later. They can hide but for how long? All lizards lie prostrate: how then can a man tell which lizard suffers from bellyache? In time, the pain will make one of them lie flat on its back, then shall that which has been unknown be made known.
But till they are flushed out, all, including both the President and the Founder must be guarded in what they say in public and even in private. Until the rotten tooth is pulled out, the mouth must learn to chew with caution.
