On Saturday, September 10 2011, the Convention People's Party (CPP), pursuing its relentless and adamant struggle for rediscovery was ushered into a new political age - the era of Samia Yaba Nkrumah. It has become evident that after years of intense platform agitation, the CPP will need to infuse itself with a new visionary and transformational leadership in order to compete and regain its once lustrous leadership as the foremost political party; to lead the nation of Ghana towards its political and economic destination among the leading free nations of the world.
On Saturday, September 10 2011, the nation witnessed for the first time in its history your election to become the first female chairman of the CPP and the first female leader of a political party in the country. Your victory came as a result of your supernatural ability to organize, organize, and organize. By your overwhelming triumph; through your persistent and tireless ability to organize as never before, you proved that indeed organization decides everything.
Many of us can attest to your immeasurable contribution to the Jomoro Constituency, where you serve as Member of Parliament and the huge economic awakening you have brought to bear on the people living in the Constituency. You did this by living among the people; listening to the people’s needs; playing with the people, eating with the people and sharing their aspirations and concerns.
Your unquestionable selflessness, devotion, leadership qualities and many more have won you a much bigger responsibility. Given the chance, you would replicate the Jomoro Project across the country. This is because there is nothing to fire a people to action like social injustice; there is nothing to motivate the people to action like economic bondage and poverty; there is nothing to inflame the people to action like national dependence.
The voice of the delegates represents the voice of the people of Ghana; a loud disquiet and sense of desperation and indignation in the manner our country has been run in the past 44 years and particularly in the last 30 years.
CPP tradition fought and freed our great Nation from political bondage; the work is not complete as successive governments have toyed and lied about the socio-economic wellbeing of the country. With our huge resources quantified in billions of dollars annually, the nation still sadly depends on donors. To say Ghana seriously needs economic emancipation would be an understatement.
The members of CPP North American branch and indeed thousands of well-meaning Ghanaians living in North America wish to congratulate you on your election as the new Leader of the Greatest Party (CPP) in our nation, Ghana.
It is our hope and prayer that the good Lord will grant you and your team the wisdom, grace, direction and blessings to help you contribute to emancipate the nation of Ghana from economic slavery; to break the monotony of life of economic drudgery and social injustice.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
Long live Ghana our motherland
Long live the CPP
Long live CPP North America
