Due to political pragmatism, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has been attacking anything NDC anytime he has the platform. Owusu Afriyie who believes his job is well cut out, attacks anything NDC to portray that he is executing his responsibility to the letter.
To the extent that the other day, Owusu Afriyie who goes by the nickname “Sir John” which does not have any bearing to his character and behaviour, got the nerve to attack his own former lecturer, Mr Tsatsu Tsikata, by labelling him as hollow and empty barrel. It’s probably the first time that I have heard somebody openly attacking his former teacher who contributed in making him what he is today.
There is an unwritten code: You don’t attack your teacher openly. But Sir John did. If you claim that your former teacher is hollow and an empty barrel, then what do you think that teacher pumped into your own heard?
Sir John has been attacking everything under the sun. Sometimes he spews garbage that his own NPP leadership have difficulty in inhaling. Because in most instances, what Sir John says has no bearing or is at variance with the issues of the day. You don’t have to be a JSS graduate to know that Sir John does not make a lot of sense most of the time.
Most people in Ghana know Sir John as a lawyer. Perhaps those who do not know much about him falsely believe that he is a lawyer of great repute. But this man has never prosecuted any case in court. He is just a bail lawyer. In case you don’t believe me, just check with him.
What ticked me off to take Sir John on was what he said couple of days ago. He accused President John Mahama of buying cars for university ladies but unable to pay doctors on strike.
Owusu Afriyie, who was at his garbage spewing best, went on to unload. Hear him: “Instead of him (President Mahama) to heed to the doctors plight, he had the money to buy cars for university ladies for free, but can’t pay the striking doctors. If you are blessed with a big ass and in the university, after the free car you are likely to be named as a minister”.
Those were the words of the man who claims “Sir John” as his title. Sir John was able to determine that if a lady is blessed with a big ass and is in the university, after she gets a free car that lady is more likely to be named as a minister.
It has always been stated that experience is the best teacher. Otherwise, how can Sir John be able to make such sweeping conclusions about ladies with big asses if he has not been there before? Sir John was speaking from his own experience.
Most Ghanaians don’t know Sir John’s past, that is why most people tend to give him a pass on most of the fumes he spews on the airwaves. During ex-president John Kufuor’s time, Sir John landed a lucrative job at the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) as Director of Legal Services and Administration.
That was a dream job for Sir John when he started working at GNPC. But before Sir John settled in, he set his eyes on the higher ground at the GNPC. Within a relative short time at GNPC, Sir John found himself entangled in a strange controversy which made him set a record, unprecedented in the annals of any organization in the country.
Sir John, who put his diabolical plan into action, deceived, wooed and started dating four (4) ladies at GNPC. FOUR LADIES! (Emphasis mine). And it did not take long for all the four ladies to know that they were all dating Sir John. This created a huge uproar, in-fighting and tensions at GNPC. It was a huge embarrassment. So huge was the embarrassment that ex-President Kufuor who landed Sir John that position got wind of it. And Kufuor was certainly not happy when he got wind of it. Ex-President Kufuor fumed as he ordered the GNPC board at the time to immediately institute an investigation into the allegations.
The GNPC board went to work and shortly afterwards it confirmed the rumour that Sir John indeed was dating four ladies at the organization which has culminated into unnecessary tensions, in-fighting and uneasiness. The report was made available to President Kufuor. And the decision was swift.
Sir John was immediately dismissed by the board of the GNPC under the instructions of President Kufuor to save the organization from further embarrassment. That was the record of Sir John at the GNPC.
But we have Sir John walking today in Ghana and pretending to be a saint, and lambasting people and behaving that he is a clean man with an unblemished record.
I think it is about time for Ghanaians to know the past of Sir John so that they will form their own opinions about him anytime he seizes the platform to spew garbage. Sir John does not have a good record when it comes to women; therefore, it is wrong on his part to slam others when he is still in the woods with his own dirty record.
I dare Sir John to come out and deny this story so that I will clap for him. Otherwise, he should shut up and refrain from wasting our ears.
