Dear Kumawuman Compatriots,
Would you please once again permit me to interact with you, sharing views and educating ourselves on the current deplorable state of our place of birth, Kumawuman?
Let it be noted by us that the bible has God saying, “For lack of knowledge, my people perish”. This statement is indisputably truthful. In order not to be victims following our lack of knowledge, certain Kumawuman citizens, including principally Elizabeth, resident in Basel (Switzerland) and Rockson Adofo, have decided to share their knowledge of Kumawu history with fellow “Kumawumanians” on the airwaves.
Elizabeth has earned the nickname “Yaa Asantewaa”. This was given to her by some Kumawuman citizens in the USA who listened to her live on Sources radio following her narrations of Kumawuman history on Sources radio UK online last Tuesday. She will be back on same radio tomorrow, Monday 27 October 2014 from 18:00 British or Ghana time.
Rockson was in the studio of Sources radio on Friday, 24 October 2014 from 16:30 until 23:00 to share views on the on-going Kumawu chieftaincy disputation. He explained the intentions of Asantehene, Kumawuhemaa and other stakeholders. He also explained whether or not the actions of Asantehene, Kumawuhemaa and the Human Rights Court judge are justified or not. A lot was said.
I would simply by this publication, intend to have my fellow Kumawuman citizens show keen interest in the welfare of, and the problems tormenting, the inhabitants, of their ancestral place of birth and also to suggest ways of resolving them. Do we continue to sit on the fence while Kumawuhemaa connives with other selfish lots to ruin our place of birth?
What are you doing to make your ancestral place of birth better than you came to find it? As Tesco stores have it as their philosophical motto, “Every little helps”, so will I require of all Kumawuman citizens wherever you are, to contribute your bit towards redeeming Kumawuman from the mischievous intentions by Kumawuhemaa and her cohorts.
I should like those of you resident abroad to phone to the elders of Kumawuman to offer or give them your unflinching support in their attempts to liberate Kumawuman from the dubious intentions of Asantehene, Kumawuhemaa and Asanteman Council of Chiefs.
Please, go on to YouTube (under Asantehene involves in corruption) to see for yourselves how Kumawuhemaa spent millions of Ghana Old Cedis in an attempt to bribe Kumawu kingmakers to agree with her on her choice of one Dr Yaw Sarfo as the Kumawuhene-elect. The question you have to ask yourselves is, “Do you have to pay for something which is rightly yours?”… ASEM SEBE!
Please, follow Rockson on Ghanaweb, Modernghana and Spyghana for updates. Additionally, tune in to Sources radio UK online on Monday 27 October 2014 from 6pm (18:00) UK and Ghana time to hear what Elizabeth, the great Kumawu historian, the daughter of the late Opayin Yaw Forson of Kumawu Etia, has for you.
Do please ask all your friends, whether they are from Kumawuman or not, to tune in to the radio station on the mentioned date and time to hear the modern day Yaa Asantewaa speak.
Yours Sincerely,
Rockson Adofo
