Is the Vice President who doubles as the running mate of caretaker-President John Dramani Mahama, H.E. Papa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, serious at all? From the little he said at his outdooring ceremony, it speaks volumes about how incompetent and a failed economist cum vice presidential material he is.
While having a swipe at the renowned economist, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the running mate of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo alias "Obuggie", Mr. Amissah-Arthur bared his ignorance of economics. Even though a Masters Degree holder in Economics, he lacks astuteness in the application of sustainable economic policies. He said at the ceremony, "my credentials at managing the economy are practical, I do not use textbook approach in managing the economy". Fair enough. What did Ghanaians see, and continue to see under his management of the economy as the Governor of Bank of Ghana? The Ghana Cedi was, and is, in free fall, depreciating by every ticking second of the clock. Prices of commodities are increasing on daily basis. Businesses are collapsing with unemployment in ascendency. Is this his methodical practical approach to managing the economy of Ghana? I would rather; he went for the textbook approach, as his practical approach is a total failure from all perspectives of economic policy implementation.
Is he also going to fail Ghana further as the late President Mills, caretaker President Mahama and the entire NDC government have failed the nation and the people of Ghana? I wonder from which planet at all the NDC descended onto earth and into Ghana. They are just sorry to say, a bunch of shameless incompetent administrators with appetite for corruption and lies.
I cannot wait to see them kicked out of office by the powerful thumps of Ghanaians on December 7, 2012. They can scheme with all the hoodlums in Ghana including Dr. Afari Gyan, they will be shown the exit from political power come what may. Ghanaians should not allow the corruption by the NDC to continue any longer else, they will sooner put up Ghana for sale.
Ghana will be heading down the economic abyss into perpetual oblivion with somebody like Mr. Amissah-Arthur in charge of the economic management team of Ghana. This submission emanates from my assessment of his pronouncements, and leafing through his records of accomplishment as the former Deputy Finance Minister and former Governor of Bank of Ghana.
