We will hold president Mahama fully responsible ....

....for the security of Martin Amidu

The PNF notes with shame, attempts by the former National Security Coordinator, Larry Gbevlo Lartey to intimidate the former Attorney General Martin Amidu into shutting up on the on-going Woyome saga. It is obvious from their public discourse that Mr. Gbevlo Lartey used his former position to intimidate and actually arrest the former Attorney General. This capricious use of state power and force should not be tolerated by the good people of Ghana.

We are by this notifying the President, that he will be directly held liable should anything happen to Mr. Amidu by the Ghanaian people in his attempt to retrieve monies wrongly paid out to Woyome. The situation where former security capo’s such Capt Rtd Kojo Tsikata, Alhaji Iddrisu Mahama and Larry Gbevlo Lartey have been used to try and negotiate a deal with Mr. Amidu in the past can be seen as a grand collusion on the part of this government to cover up this act.

Ghanaians should collectively and individually make it a point to protect and ensure the security of Mr. Amidu who in our opinion is the number one crusader against public corruption and who has done more than all governments combined to fight corruption. He is a gem and Ghanaians will have to do our best to protect him and keep him safe.

We call on the President to answer a few questions arising out of this Woyome saga as listed as follows:

1. What is the President’s position on Martin Amidu’s accusations against his government colluding with Woyome to defraud the state and then turning round to play political gymnastics with a supposed suit?

2. Mr. Martin Amidu and Mr. Woyome have both accused highly placed personalities in the President’s government of either being aware or being part of this grand collusion to create, loot and share our monies. Such personalities include former Chief of staff John Henry Martey Newman, Deputies Alex Segbefia and Dr. Valarie Sawyer, Betty Mould Iddrisu, former Attorney General, Barton Oduro, Deputy Speaker of Parliament. What steps has he the President taken since these revelations, to inquire from these persons their involvement?
3. Has the President bothered to invite Mr. Martin Amidu to find out from him what evidence he has which may assist the state in properly prosecuting this case?

4. If the government is not in collusion with Woyome to defraud the state, why has Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu, Mr. Barton Oduro, Mr Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh; his wife, Mrs Gifty Nerquaye-Tetteh, and the Director of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP), Mr Paul Asimenu not been jointly prosecuted or at least appear as prosecution witnesses for the state?


5. Finally, what was the reason for the dismissal of Mr. Martin Amidu?
As things currently stand, Mr. Amidu is the most credible and most consistent person on the Woyome saga and until we hear anything contrary from the President, we believe in every single narrative of Mr. Amidu.

The President must speak up now on this saga because it is the resources of Ghanaians that has been fraudulently acquired by his government and its associates. His continues silence on this Woyome scandal is an illegitimate endorsement of this fraudulent act and we hold him ultimately responsible for it.
