Will Nana Addo accept Reverend Owusu-Bempah’s word on contracts diversion?

Recently when President Nana Akufo-Addo responded to critics by saying “people talk as if he has been in power for 5 years,” little did he know one of the critics may be his own spiritual father Rev.

Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder, and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, who claims a relative of his, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, is undermining his administration by diverting contracts awarded to the right persons to his cronies.

There are allegations the President is under siege from his own relatives who are dictating how the business of governance should be conducted at the seat of the government-a situation which is said to be frustrating a good number of staff members, who want the President to sit up and put an end to it.

Speaking in an interview with Accra based Neat Fm, Rev Owusu Bempah, who courted controversy in this country when he predicted the electoral victory of the president, said Mr. Otchere-Darko and some few clicks continue cancel contracts awarded to the “rightful” contractors to persons of their own choice.

“These people are able to turn contracts from the rightful contractor to persons of their choice and President Akufo- Addo doesn’t see some of these things because he’s not God. I’ll soon expose them after engaging the President, we’ll not allow people to cause problems for the Akufo Addo government to fail because he toiled several years before becoming President".

"If God has blessed Ghana with such a leader, why will Gabby Asare Otchere -Darko and other persons surrounding the President doing things to wreck the government.”

But Mr. Otchere-Darko has denied the allegation and insisted he does not work at the presidency and that, those who continue to accuse him those so as a result of hatred.

It will be recalled that prior to one of his increasingly growing foreign trips, the President went to the church of Rev. Owusu-Bempah to be prayed for and even given a bible and a horn, the latter signifying strength and protection.
