It is comical the way some leading NPP members have been claiming that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, their twice defeated Vice-Presidential Candidate is doing well as their star witness at the on-going hearings of the petition they have brought against President Mahama, the Electoral Commission and the NDC at the Supreme Court. This claim has sent many laughing till they can’t laugh!
Just a couple of days ago, Anthony Karbo, the ex-National Youth Organiser of the NPP said Dr. Bwaumia is the NDC’s nightmare. We are sure a number of NPP supporters believe him because they believe Dr. Bawumia is holding his own against the counsel for the First Respondent.
However, a casual observer of the hearings cannot fail to see that Dr. Bawumia has been exposed big time by Tony Lithur, counsel for the first respondent.
Tony Lithur has, with patience, made mince meat of Dr. Bawumia, exposing him at every turn. In fact, Bawumia has become a pathetic figure and a laughing stock, the butt of jokes in town and only God knows the ignominy that awaits him in the end.
If the NPP insist that he is doing well for them, so be it. The rest of the populace are simply going to continue having a good laugh at Bawumia. For Bawumia, let him be reminded that he is like a boxer who has been battered and has clearly lost the fight but his corner-men keep telling him he is leading on points. What points?
