The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed a cholera outbreak in the Ada West District of Greater Accra, with the first case reported on October 4.
The initial patient showed symptoms after attending a funeral in Ada East.
By October 11, nine additional cases had been identified in both Ada West and Ada East Districts.
In response, GHS has activated Public Health Emergency Management Committees and a multi-sectoral Rapid Response Team to trace contacts and manage the outbreak.
The health authorities assured the public of their commitment to addressing this health emergency effectively.
