Deputy Health Minister and MP for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has launched the construction of a new health center in Akyem Essam, Eastern Region, to improve local healthcare access.

Currently, residents face long journeys to nearby towns for medical care, posing challenges, especially for pregnant women.

The health center is part of a national effort to provide essential health services in under-served areas.

During the sod-cutting event, which also saw the commissioning of a new toilet facility, Acquah reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure as part of his campaign promise.
