NHIA is not bankrupt – Dacosta Aboagye

Dr. Dacosta Aboagye, CEO of the NHIA, has dismissed bankruptcy claims, citing NHIA's robust finances, with monthly payouts between GH₵180 million and GH₵250 million.

He emphasized NHIA's sustainability, urging consistent fund releases from the Finance Ministry. Despite Ghana's IMF engagement and the election year, Aboagye assured stable funding, noting NHIA's independence from IMF support.

He stressed the importance of social protection, urging timely fund releases to avoid distressing the vulnerable.

Aboagye expressed confidence in the Finance Ministry's commitment to releasing funds for NHIA operations, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
