A new health center, Adansi-Bonnah, has been opened in Obuasi to improve healthcare for residents.
Funded by mineral royalties, the 1.6 million cedis facility features outpatient services, consulting rooms, wards, a pharmacy, and more.
Replacing the defunct Jemima Maternity Home, the center will serve Obuasi Central Market and surrounding areas.
Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah praised the government for its healthcare infrastructure improvements, including completing several hospitals in the region.
Obuasi's Municipal Chief Executive, Elijah Adansi-Bonah, highlighted the responsible use of mineral royalties in building key projects, dismissing claims of mismanagement.
