2020-01-24Sanford World Clinic receives two new ambulances
The two new ambulances procured by Sanford World Clinic
Sanford World Clinic, a private health facility in Kasoa, has received two (2) new ambulances from its partners in the USA.
The ambulances will serve and improve the health care needs of residents within the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly.

He said Kasoa as a cosmopolitan community has increased in terms of population size, therefore, an emergency vehicle will be needed to serve the people very well.
“Having the ambulance here will help us…a lot of accidents occur on the road lately so the ambulance will help us to be mobile, agile and faster in getting the people to referral hospitals”, Dr Taylor noted.
He added that a lot of lives had been lost to emergency cases as a result of the lack of ambulances for emergency treatment so these ambulances will help to serve the community better.
The Municipal Health Director of the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly, Dr Paul Dsane-Aidoo, stated that these ambulances will help bring down the stress and torture accident victims and pregnant women go through.
“One of our doctors had to refer a pregnant woman to a health facility after she got into labour and was rushed to the polyclinic and after assessment, it is realised she needed surgery. We were ready and waiting but the ambulance was not available because it was serving another facility. When she finally gets to the theatre table at the referral facility, the baby is lost,” he said.
The District Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East Municipal Area, Michael Essuman Mensah, on his part, hinted that the District will be receiving additional ambulances from the government to boost the emergency response within the district.
He said: “We will have the constituency ambulance and also the polyclinic ambulance all coming from the same ministry [Ministry of Special Development Initiative].”
He added that the National Ambulance Service will be having an office within the Municipality where they will be operating from.
