Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has denied reports claiming that 20 renal patients died due to a shortage of dialysis consumables.
The hospital clarified that no deaths occurred during the shortage period and attributed the misinformation to a misinterpreted media flyer and exaggerated online commentary.
KBTH also confirmed that the Ministry of Health has settled all outstanding debts, dismissing allegations of owing GH¢6 million to suppliers.
The hospital has received new dialysis consumables, resumed inpatient services on August 12, and expects outpatient services to be fully operational by the end of the week.
The public is urged to disregard the false reports.
