Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has accused Richard Jakpa and Big Sea, producers of ambulances, of making a 50% profit from the €2.37 million ambulance deal.
Dame alleged that Jakpa received 28% of the contract sum and suggested that the suppliers' failure to deliver was due to their excessive profit.
Jakpa denied knowledge of Big Sea's profits and argued that the contract received necessary approvals from cabinet, parliament, and the Public Procurement Authority, ensuring value for money.
The exchange occurred during Jakpa's cross-examination in the ongoing ambulance trial.
