Independence presidential candidate in the last general election, Mr. Jacob Osei Yeboah (JOY) is worried over the voting pattern of the electorate in Ashanti Region, the stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) stating that those who have wisdom will vote against the NDC and NPP.
“Your vote is your wisdom and people with wisdom should vote against the government and NDC”, he advised on Kumasi FM’s morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
According to him, the two main political parties; the ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have done little to ameliorate the lives of voters in the Ashanti Region, therefore, electorates should consider the two out of governance.
“Don’t vote the same way you have been voting since 1992. …I am a businessman”, Mr. Jocob Osei Yeboah told host Nana Yaw Mensah Joel during a telephone interview while commenting on the President Akufo-Addo working visit to the Ashanti Region.
“President Akufo-Addo deserves no praise, he is doing nothing for the people in this region”, Mr. Jocob Osei Yeboah fumed insisting “people in Ashanti Region deserve more from the NPP government”.
Recently, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visited the Ashanti Region and commissioned several projects as well as cut sod for the commencement of new ones reassuring residents the commitment of his administration to develop the area.
