Bernard Antwi Boasiako [Chairman Wontumi], the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said the Akufo-Addo-led government has delivered almost all the promises it made to Ghanaians, therefore, the party will win the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections convincingly.
He stressed the government has successfully implemented key promises that touch the core of the nation’s development, including the free senior high school program, One District-One Factory, One Village-One Dam and the One Constituency-One Ambulance project.
Chairman Wontumi told Kwaku Dawuro on ‘Anopa Nkomo‘ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7 that, “Inconsistency with the NPP tradition, we have always worked hard to achieve our victories and have never been complacent about anything because we understand elections and know that anything can happen”.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako disclosed that for the party to have a convincing victory in the coming election, it had started a voter education program for party operatives and also preparing them for the registration exercise in that area.
“To my NPP Patriots, let us not get too swayed and complacent with the many prophecies that predicted an emphatic victory for the NPP in 2020.”
But instead, let it serve as a motivation to move beyond our comfort zone to support the Party and Government to communicate the extraordinary achievements of President Nana Akufo-Addo led administration within the past 3yrs of being in charge of the destiny of our beloved country,” he admonished.
The controversial politician also mentioned that the economy is back on the right path under the Akufo-Addo administration, therefore, the mandate of the President and the NPP will be renewed in this year’s polls.
According to him, the government apart from implementing many social intervention policies including Free Senior High School, Planting for Food and Jobs, Nabco among others, the government has also embarked on many infrastructural developments across the country.
