Carl Sowah, Programs Officer of the Ghana National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, has called on Ghanaians to participate peacefully in the upcoming December elections.
Speaking on Joy News, he highlighted Ghana's strong democratic reputation in Africa and urged voters to avoid violence and weapons at polling stations.
"It is the ballot that matters; you speak with your thumb, not with a bullet," he said, emphasizing the importance of voting wisely.
To promote peace, the Commission has launched the "Silencing the Gun to Save Lives" campaign, aimed at discouraging the use of weapons that could disrupt the electoral process and harm Ghana's democracy.
