A recent poll by Global InfoAnalytics has shown a notable drop in voter support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Region following Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh's (NAPO) selection as the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The survey, conducted after NAPO's nomination, indicates significant declines in six key constituencies, with 42% of NPP voters expressing reluctance to vote for the party because of NAPO, while 49% remain supportive.
Executive Director Mussa Dankwa discussed the poll on Channel One TV’s ‘Citiuation Room,’ noting the challenge this presents for the NPP.
Among floating voters, 74% are less likely to support the NPP due to NAPO's candidacy, with only 9% still considering voting for the party.
