50,000 CCTVs to be installed to aid Police fight crime – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced plans to install 50,000 CCTV cameras throughout the country to enhance the Police Service’s capacity to tackle crime.

The initiative aims to substantially lower crime rates across the nation.

The NPP government has provided increased support to the Ghana Police Service, including more vehicles, additional uniforms, and even three helicopters.

The size of the police force has been increased by about 40%, and there are plans to do more.
