Afenyo-Markin to trigger a recall of Parliament

Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has announced plans to recall Parliament on Wednesday, October 23, following Speaker Alban Bagbin's decision to indefinitely adjourn the House.

Speaking on Citi FM, Afenyo-Markin accused the Speaker and National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs of deliberately stalling parliamentary business to sabotage Ghana’s economy.

He emphasized that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will trigger the recall to ensure government work continues uninterrupted.

The Speaker's adjournment followed a dispute over which caucus holds the Majority in Parliament after a recent Supreme Court ruling.
