Africa became an accidental victim of Russia-Ukraine conflict – Akufo-Addo reiterates

President Akufo-Addo has addressed the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, highlighting the severe impact of the Ukraine war on African economies, living standards, and inflation rates.

He emphasized that Africa has become an unintended casualty, with disrupted supply chains wreaking havoc on the continent's economies.

The President stressed the importance of Africa's involvement in resolving the conflict, calling for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on international law and the UN Charter.

He also emphasized the need for engagement with major global players like Russia and China to ensure a definitive settlement.
