The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that candidates who made errors on their nomination forms were given extra time to correct them.
EC Chair Jean Mensa stated that while some candidates fixed their mistakes, others resubmitted forms with similar issues.
She emphasized the commission's fairness and transparency, noting that the five-day correction period helped reduce confusion compared to past elections.
As of September 20, the EC has approved 13 out of 24 presidential aspirants following a thorough vetting process.
Disqualified candidates have threatened legal action, but the EC confirmed that their nomination fees will be refunded.
