Former Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo has urged government officials to refrain from interfering with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and to support its anti-corruption efforts.
Speaking at the 2024 Domelevo Accountability Lectures, he highlighted the importance of providing the OSP with the necessary resources and autonomy to combat corruption effectively.
Despite his initial reservations about the OSP, Domelevo worked closely with the first Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu. He expressed concern that current Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng faces significant challenges and called on the government to protect and support Agyebeng in his role.
