Ambulance trial: AG had no business contacting 3rd accused directly – Sammy Gyamfi

Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, has accused Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame of unethical conduct in the ambulance case against Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

Gyamfi alleged that Dame improperly pressured the third accused, Richard Jakpa, to falsely implicate Dr. Forson.

Citing Rule 13 of the legal Code of Conduct, Gyamfi argued that Dame violated ethics by directly communicating with Jakpa without his lawyer present.

In response, the Attorney General's office released plea bargain letters from Jakpa, denying the allegations and clarifying that Jakpa had sought a plea deal to drop the charges, which remains unaccepted.
