Annoh-Dompreh removed me from NPP WhatsApp platform immediately I filed my nomination – Suhum MP

Kwadjo Asante, the Member of Parliament for Suhum, has revealed he was removed from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) caucus WhatsApp group after filing to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 elections.

The removal, done by Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh, followed Speaker Alban Bagbin's decision to declare his seat and three others vacant.

Asante was later re-added to the group without explanation. He clarified rumors about withdrawing his independent candidacy, stating they were false, and felt compelled to address the issue directly on the platform.
