Ghana Federation of Labour Secretary General, Abraham Koomson, has criticized the plan to sell 60% of SSNIT’s stake in four hotels to Bryan Acheampong’s Rock City Hotel.
He suggested appointing Acheampong to manage the hotels instead of selling them, questioning the need to offload profitable state assets.
Koomson emphasized SSNIT’s financial stability and called for amendments to the National Pensions Act to safeguard workers' assets.
Despite denials of foul play, TUC insists on broader consultations and cancellation of the sale, while MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has petitioned to halt it.
