Ashanti region ballot papers are safe and protected 24/7 – Richard Jakpa

Richard Jakpa, a senior member of former President John Dramani Mahama’s 2024 campaign security team, has reassured the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members that the Presidential and parliamentary ballot papers have been safely transported to the Ashanti Region under the party's supervision.

Jakpa personally oversaw the distribution from Accra, ensuring no tampering or misplacement of the papers.

Upon arrival in Kumasi, Jakpa inspected the police workshop where the papers were initially set to be stored and deemed it unsuitable.

He insisted on relocating the ballots to a more secure area, which was cleared with the help of NDC members. Jakpa confirmed that all ballots are accounted for, securely locked, and properly sealed.
