Bagbin temporarily moves Parliamentary sittings to AICC Dome

Speaker Alban Bagbin has announced that Parliament will reconvene at the Dome, International Conference Centre, starting September 3, 2024, due to ongoing renovations in the main chamber.

The decision, outlined in a letter dated August 27, 2024, cites Article 112(3) of the 1992 Constitution, allowing the Speaker to choose an alternative venue when necessary.

The renovations, which involve major updates to the chamber's infrastructure, are not expected to be finished in time for the scheduled parliamentary session.
