Bagbin to rule on petition seeking removal of four MPs

Today, Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin will rule on a petition to remove four MPs from the House: Cynthia Morrison (Agona West), Kojo Asante (Suhum), Andrew Asiamah (Fomena), and Kwakye Ackah (Amenfi Central).

The Minority argues they should be disqualified for filing to run as independent candidates in the December elections.

Ackah, one of the MPs involved, stated he is unconcerned about the ruling, emphasizing he hasn't left his party but wishes to contest independently in the next parliament.

He acknowledged that a ruling could have consequences for their positions.
