Bawumia needs the Mahama debate more – Bokpin

Professor Godfred Bokpin, a Finance expert at the University of Ghana, believes that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, needs a debate with opposition candidate John Mahama more than Mahama needs it.

Bokpin, speaking on Newsfile, highlighted the strategic importance of such a debate for Bawumia’s election campaign, noting that the NPP’s campaign team likely sees it as beneficial.

While there have been growing calls from Bawumia’s camp for this debate, key National Democratic Congress (NDC) members, including MPs, suggest Bawumia should first engage with the press before considering a debate with Mahama.
