Dr. John Osae-Kwapong, a research fellow at CDD-Ghana has called for punitive measures against NPP's Parliamentary Candidate, Ernest Frimpong, for allegedly inciting illegal miners to resist military forces enforcing anti-galamsey laws.
Despite Frimpong's denial, he was arrested and released on bail.
Dr. Osae-Kwapong believed consequences are necessary to show that such actions are condemned, emphasizing the importance of accountability.
He made his remarks on Channel One TV's "The Big Issue" on Saturday.
