The Convention People's Party (CPP) has pledged to reform cannabis policies under its government.
Speaking at the launch of the party’s 2024 manifesto, vice-presidential candidate Wayoe Ghanamannti declared an end to police arrests for ganja possession, emphasizing rehabilitation over incarceration.
Offenders will be redirected to work on state farms instead of facing long jail terms.
The CPP’s manifesto, dedicated to empowering women and youth, highlights industrialization and economic self-reliance as core pillars, promising to revive abandoned factories and reduce dependency on imports.
Presidential candidate Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumakumah called on Ghanaians to embrace the CPP’s vision for ownership, prosperity, and equality, urging voters to support the party’s transformative agenda.
