Complicity of some NPP officials hampering ‘galamsey’ fight – Kwakye Ofosu

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for NDC flagbearer John Mahama, has accused some NPP officials of being involved in illegal mining (galamsey), hindering efforts to stop it.

He claims that corruption and greed within the ruling party are fueling the crisis. Ofosu criticized the government, especially its Ashanti Regional Chairman, for violating environmental regulations.

He argued that the government benefits from illegal mining and will not stop it.

He urged Ghanaians to protest and pressure the government to tackle the issue
effectively.
