Aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Old Tafo Constituency in the Ashanti Region in the New Patriotic party’s Parliamentary primaries, Ekow Assafuah Vincent embarked on a mass sensitization drive about COVID-19 in Tafo Pankrono targeting market women.
He also donated some items to market women in the constituency as part of efforts to help contain the deadly Coronavirus.
Ghana has recorded 132 cases of the deadly virus with three deaths confirmed.
The world health organization has said that it’s imperative for people to wash their hands and also sanitize their hands in order to keep safe and avoid the virus.
In his effort to support the government in this period, the aspiring Member of Parliament donated items including Face Masks, Hand Sanitizers, and Veronica Buckets to market women in the Tafo, Pankrono and Nhyieso Markets.
He used the opportunity to educate the women on the need for observing personal hygiene because that’s the only recipe to avoid contracting the virus.
He used the opportunity to remind the market women that the country is going through trying times and there was, therefore, the need for all sundry to come together to help in the fight against the deadly disease.
