Current voter’s register not perfect and not final – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has confirmed that the current voter’s register is provisional and still undergoing updates to ensure accuracy ahead of the 2024 elections.

During an IPAC meeting on October 1, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa addressed concerns from political parties and the public, stating that there will be an exhibition period for raising claims and objections.

She noted that the NDC’s calls for a forensic audit are premature, emphasizing the Commission's commitment to transparency and collaboration while maintaining its independence throughout the electoral process.
